Just recently, Jim argued before the First Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston and won a reversal of his client's conviction. In another federal case, Jim convinced a jury that his client was not guilty of a charge that would have resulted in a life sentence. Success is not, however, just defined in tems of an acquittal or judgment, but is often negotiated to meet client needs or avoid more serious consequences.
